At a glance
- The work overview reads local project and task records.
- Guide matching uses the task description and, when selected, the filename.
- Starting an assistant request can send its text and included file details to the service you choose.
Who is responsible
The Matrix is created by Tristin Hassell and published through Gathered Commons Press LLC. The party responsible for this policy is Gathered Commons Press LLC. Contact us through The Matrix support page or at hello@gatheredcommonspress.com.
Local records
The Matrix keeps preferences and saved request logs on your Mac and reads local work records and installed workflow guides. Logs can contain request text, file locations and assistant responses. Review them before sharing.
Choosing a file
Guide matching uses the selected filename rather than reading the document’s contents. A prepared request can include the file’s location. If you then start an assistant, that assistant’s tools and permissions determine what it may read.
Optional assistant services
The work overview does not need an online assistant. When you start or send a request to an online service, its provider receives the request and any included information. The provider’s account, privacy settings and permissions apply. A local model needs separate setup; The Matrix does not include a model or promise that every assistant connection works offline.
Support
Leave passwords, access keys, private prompts and sensitive project records out of support messages. No Gathered Commons account is required to use the local companion.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message and use them only to reply and to improve the app. The website privacy policy explains how long we keep these messages. Please leave passwords, access keys and other people’s private records out of your message.
Your requests
Information the app keeps on your own device or computer can be viewed, exported and deleted there. Information held by a service you connect is controlled by them, as described above. To ask about information you have sent us, or to have it deleted, contact us as above. We respond within 30 days. California residents have these rights under California law, and we extend them to everyone.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what the app stores or sends, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
