How an inquiry works
Every book asks for something different. We begin with the work, its history, and what the writer hopes the finished edition can become. Only then do we discuss scope, schedule, and cost.
Send a short description, its current status, and why it may fit the press.
If the project seems aligned, we will request the material needed for a closer look.
We agree on editorial, design, production, rights, schedule, and costs in writing.
Nothing is released until the files, formats, and physical proof have been approved.
Private inquiries
Begin with a concise description of the manuscript or existing edition, its genre and approximate length, its publication history if any, and what kind of help you are seeking.
Please do not send a full manuscript until requested. An inquiry does not create a publishing or services agreement.
