Frame and Forge

Keep a job’s estimate, work plan, photos, decisions, and client updates in the same place.

What you can do

Jobs and next actions

Keep each job’s people, stage, address, tasks, and records together. Use due dates, prerequisites, and recorded crew availability to plan the next step.

Estimates, proposals, and invoices

Build estimates from quantities and entered prices. Compare cost scenarios, prepare proposals, and keep invoice and payment records with the job.

Photos and field reports

File photos by job and category. Add captions, record progress and blockers, and keep submitted reports linked to the evidence they refer to.

Documents, permits, and decisions

Keep document versions and review history. Organize permit paperwork and record the decision, responsible person, and supporting information.

Client updates

Prepare a separate customer view. Choose the wording, photos, and records to publish instead of exposing the whole project folder.

Backups and exports

Keep the workspace in a folder you choose. Export reviewed records and preserve the database, documents, photos, and keys together in a complete backup.

Different work. Different access.

People use the same job records without receiving the same permissions. The workspace owner decides who can view costs, manage company records, or approve a change.

Owners and administrators

Set up the company, invite people, manage account access, and choose who can see sensitive records. Keep backups and review account activity. Administrative access is separate from authority to approve work or see project finances.

Office managers and program directors

See the jobs you manage, review estimates and costs, coordinate schedules and purchases, handle approvals, and publish client updates. Keep the estimate, decision, and supporting records together.

General contractors and project managers

Run assigned jobs: plan tasks and prerequisites, prepare estimates, request materials, record issues, and review field reports. Prepare updates for the office to review and publish.

Crew leads and crew members

Find assigned work, check the site details, take photos, record daily progress, and flag a blocker or missing material. Crew access follows the jobs and tasks assigned to that person.

Subcontractors

Use the issued information for assigned work. Submit photos, progress, questions, and proposed changes without opening unrelated jobs or the company’s internal margin records.

Clients and homeowners

See the progress, photos, documents, and decisions the company has published for their job. Ask questions and acknowledge updates. Private field records and internal costs stay outside the client view.

Work offline. Connect when you choose.

Entirely offline for core work

Keep jobs, tasks, estimates, photos, documents, and reports on your computer. Core work does not require an internet connection or a cloud assistant.

Forge Field can keep downloaded assignments, drafts, and photos on a phone without a signal. Connect to the office to get fresh assignments and send field records back.

Optional agent connections

Give an approved assistant permission to look up allowed job information and prepare supported drafts. The connection follows the person’s project access.

People still approve, publish, sign, purchase, and record payments. External assistants, connected mail, maps, and remote access require their own connection and setup.

Read how optional connections handle information.

Choose the device that fits the work.

DeviceHow you use it
Apple silicon MacThe current desktop pilot runs on macOS 26 or later. The Mac holds the workspace and runs the office tools.
Intel Mac & Windows PCEarlier evaluation installers are available for device testing. Ask about a test copy for your machine.
iPhone, iPad & AndroidUse the browser or Home Screen field companion after setup with the office workspace. Download assignments before going offline; reconnect to sync. Standalone mobile store apps are not offered yet.

Phone access depends on the connection set up by the workspace owner. Internet access and an office network connection are different: office Wi-Fi can work without public internet.

Help test Frame and Forge.

I’m inviting contractors, office managers, crews, and small construction businesses to try real workflows and tell me what needs work.

Send your role, Mac or PC model, operating system, and the task you’d like to test. Start with an evaluation workspace and sample records.

A few practical questions

Does it require a cloud subscription?

The core workspace works locally. Optional third-party services may have their own accounts, charges, and internet requirements. Contact me for software licensing terms.

Does it send proposals, sign contracts, or collect payment automatically?

You review and share proposals and invoices. A document status is not a legal signature or permit approval. The client portal does not process payments, and agents cannot make business approvals.

Where do I get help?

Use the support page. Please keep client records and credentials out of your first message.
