MUD Desk support

Help with the private Mac development candidate. Release requirements are still being checked.

We aim to reply within three business days.

What to include

  • Your device model and system version.
  • Your MUD Desk version, world name and whether you are using a local or remote server.
  • What you were trying to do, what you expected, and what happened.

Please leave out passwords, access keys, and private records about other people. If we need a file, we’ll suggest a safe way to share it.

Common questions

What is a MUD?

A multi-user dungeon is a text-based game world. You read descriptions, type commands and may meet other players on the same server. The game’s own help explains its commands.

What is the difference between local and remote?

A local server runs on your Mac. A remote server belongs to someone else and needs a network connection. Only connect to a server you mean to use; check its rules and connection instructions.

Where do exploration notes go?

Journals are kept by world. Export a journal to create a file for Pocket DM, then choose where to save or share it.

Is every ACK world compatible?

No compatibility with every world or server is promised. Local world imports need a compatible engine and area files. Keep the original world files and review the game’s own instructions.

Can I download it now?

Public distribution is not open. The app is a private development candidate.
