Who is responsible
MUD Desk is created by Tristin Hassell and published through Gathered Commons Press LLC. The party responsible for this policy is Gathered Commons Press LLC. Contact us through MUD Desk support page or at hello@gatheredcommonspress.com.
Local storage
MUD Desk keeps its world library, settings, journals and local service log in its application storage on your Mac. Local game servers keep their own character and world files. Copies you export remain where you save them, even if you remove the app.
Local game service
The Mac window uses a local service to manage worlds and game connections. Local world files are read when you select them; imports create a separate instance. A local game can run without internet when its required files are present.
Remote game connections
If you add and connect to a remote server, that operator receives your commands, login details and normal network connection information. Its rules and privacy practices apply. A plain connection may send text without encryption; use a supported encrypted connection when the server offers one, and do not reuse important passwords.
Exports and support
An exploration export contains the journal entries and world information needed for Pocket DM. Review it before sharing. Support messages should leave out character passwords, access keys and private player conversations.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message and use them only to reply and to improve the app. The website privacy policy explains how long we keep these messages. Please leave passwords, access keys and other people’s private records out of your message.
Your requests
Information the app keeps on your own device or computer can be viewed, exported and deleted there. Information held by a service you connect is controlled by them, as described above. To ask about information you have sent us, or to have it deleted, contact us as above. We respond within 30 days. California residents have these rights under California law, and we extend them to everyone.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what the app stores or sends, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
