Flipper Controller support

Start with demo mode and the included Getting Started guide. Device connections are still being tested.

We aim to reply within three business days.

What to include

  • Your device model and system version.
  • Your Flipper firmware version, connection type and Flipper Controller version.
  • What you were trying to do, what you expected, and what happened.

Please leave out passwords, access keys, and private records about other people. If we need a file, we’ll suggest a safe way to share it.

Common questions

Where do I begin?

Open Getting Started in the app, then choose Demo mode. Try the directional buttons, OK and Back before connecting hardware. Demo mode does not change a device.

How is Mac USB meant to work?

Use a USB cable that carries data, unlock your Flipper and close qFlipper or other apps connected to it. Choose the device in Flipper Controller and select Connect Flipper. Physical device verification is pending.

How is iPhone Bluetooth meant to work?

Enable Bluetooth on your Flipper, unlock it, then select Connect Flipper and choose your device. Allow Bluetooth access when iOS asks. Close other connected apps. The app disconnects when it goes into the background. Physical pairing is still pending.

Does saving install an extension?

No. Saving gives you a copy of the package. Follow its publisher’s installation instructions and check device and firmware compatibility. M5Stack, ESP32 and Proxmark3 packages do not run on a Flipper.

Can I use it without internet?

Demo mode, the beginner guide, library search, saved packages, Radio Lab lessons and calculators, and native utilities are local. Opening a publisher website needs internet. The app does not automatically download, install or flash packages.

How do I begin in Radio Lab?

Open Radio Lab and read the first lesson. Try the wavelength and power-ratio calculators, then write an observation in the notebook. Calculated antenna lengths are estimates, not a finished antenna design or permission to transmit.

What does Nearby Bluetooth do?

Select the discovery button to begin a short scan. Allow Bluetooth access when asked. It lists devices that advertise and their reported signal strength; it does not connect to or control them, and the reading does not reliably measure distance.

How do I link my phone and Mac?

Open Phone Link in both apps. Select Advertise this device on one and Find nearby devices on the other. Choose the expected device and approve the invitation on the advertising device. Names are not verified identities. Enter a note and select Send text to paired device. The link uses encryption, accepts text up to 16 KB and stops in the background. Physical pairing is still pending verification.

Can I read a card or tag?

The Mac tool needs an external contactless reader that supports its identifier command. Refresh the reader list, present a card you are authorized to read and choose Read UID. The iPhone tool requests an NFC tag’s NDEF message, not its UID, low-frequency RFID or protected contents. Physical compatibility checks are pending; an identifier alone is not a copy of the card.

How do I share a tag reading?

Pair Phone Link first. After reading a supported tag, choose Send reading to paired device. This sends the displayed text only when a device is connected. Saving a local tag note does not share it.

How do I remove received notes?

In Phone Link, select Delete received notes and confirm. This deletes the notes held on this device. Copies already sent to another device remain there; pairing is not remembered after the link stops.

Can I download the app now?

Public distribution is not open. The current native candidates still need physical-device checks.
